Main Responsibilities

Evaluate patient’s oral health
-
Take appropriate radiographs, CBCTs and perform appropriate diagnostic procedures

Identify potential problems with the patient’s oral health and notify the patient and dentist
-
Educate patients on ways to improve their health

Provide prophylaxis, root and sulcular debridement and gingival curettage
-
Apply therapeutic medications to the teeth and supporting structures.

Perform whitening procedures.

Take diagnostic models.

Use Nitrous Oxide for anxiolysis

Administer local and topical anesthetics
-
Use lasers for subgingival therapy
-
Maintain equipment and instruments in good working order
