Verity Health Center is seeking a Chiropractic Assistant to join our multi-disciplinary healthcare team. This position will be responsible for a variety of both clinical and clerical duties requiring the ability to efficiently organize and prioritize tasks. Medical certifications or degree in a related field is a plus. The ideal candidate has a passion for helping others feel better in their bodies and is excited to apply their administrative skills to help the office run efficiently. Our clinic is looking for an individual with a desire to learn, grow, and who embraces collaboration with a team.
- Medical office experience is preferred, not required
- Strong and effective communication skills; must be able to relate to people from all walks of life
- EHR system experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficient organizational skills and detail orientation
- Must be personable with a professional demeanor; able to exercise courtesy and tact with all patients
- Familiar with HIPAA regulations
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to multitask
- Anatomy knowledge is a plus, not a requirement
- Chiropractic Experience a plus
Responsibilities include:
- Perform therapeutic modalities on patients as directed and supervised by the provider
- Educate patients on proper ergonomics of activities of daily living
- Instruct patients on rehabilitative exercise to help them regain spinal stabilization as directed and supervised by the provider
- Manage patient flow throughout the duration of their visit
- Record and verify medical records such as medical histories and vitals signs
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support provider
- Takes some general diagnostic information including blood pressure, temperature, weight, height, and records this for the providers use in the examination and treatment.
- Escorts patients to exam and x-ray rooms
- Controls the waiting room, attends to patients needs, and ensure the office runs on time
- Distributes educational information to patients as instructed by the provider
- Maintains organized files on all patients
- Abides by HIPAA laws regarding sharing of personal medical information
- Keeps the office clean and presentable, doing spot cleaning through the day and thorough cleaning at the end of each business day
